This is our first post on the new ‘Dia-Beat This!’ site and we’re proud to announce that the project is finally underway.
The aim of ‘Dia-Beat This!’ is to educate and inspire participants in reforming their diet and lifestyle and to reverse their Type 2 diabetes, or pre-diabetes.
‘Dia-Beat This!’ is the UK’s and, as far as we know, the world’s first open-access Type 2 diabetes reversal programme and we welcome all who want to take control of their health and rid themselves of the shadow of Type 2 diabetes.
Our insights into this condition are based on personal experience.
Eddy was diagnosed with having advanced Type 2 in January 2015 and was told by his doctor that it was unlikely he’d be able to reverse the illness.
Fortunately, Eddy took this as a challenge rather than a prediction. He reformed his diet and lifestyle, lost 50lbs over five months and in February 2016 was taken off the Diabetic Register, having been judged to be free of all signs of Type 2.
‘Dia-Beat This!’ begins in January 2017 with a series of talks in the Morecambe Bay area, in Barrow-in-Furness, Grange-over-Sands, Kendal and Lancaster/Morecambe, followed by a structured programme of weekly group meetings, culminating in a graduation event in May.
Although you may be sceptical about reversing your Type 2 diabetes, especially if you’ve had it for a long time, come along to one of the talks and we’ll try and persuade you otherwise.
If you’re newly diagnosed, this is the ideal time to understand that you do NOT have to put up with Type 2.
For most people, even those Type 2 can be reversed and it may be the lever you need to take control of your health and experience a better way of living and a longer, happier life.
The talk dates and places are:
* Monday 9th January, 7.00pm – Park Leisure Centre, Barrow-in-Furness LA13 9DT
* Tuesday 10th January, 7.00pm – Business Conference Centre, Lancaster & Morecambe College LA1 2TY
* Wednesday 11th January, 7.00pm – Keg & Kitchen, Grange-over-Sands LA11 6AB
* Thursday 12th January, 7.00pm – Castle Street Community Centre, Kendal LA9 7AD

Thank you for reading this. If you want to know more, come along to one of the talks in January. If you know someone who might benefit from getting involved, pass these details on.
We’re also making a film about diabetes reversal, which you may want to get involved with.
All the best for now.
